Information you choose to provide
RyanJRussell.com may collect information that you voluntarily submit through the site. Depending on the form or message, this may include your name, email address, Audible marketplace, an optional reviewer or profile link, and information you choose to include in a message.
The site currently uses forms for Reader Updates and for requests for a complimentary Audible review copy of Rectify: The Avenging Angel.
How that information is used
Information submitted through the site may be used to:
- respond to author or reader inquiries;
- manage Audible promo-code requests and distribution;
- maintain a list of people who have asked to receive occasional Ryan J. Russell author updates; and
- operate, protect, and improve the website and its forms.
Ryan J. Russell does not sell or rent visitor or subscriber information.
Reader Updates
Reader Updates are intended to be occasional messages about Ryan J. Russell's fiction, including meaningful writing progress, publication news, revised-edition updates, new books, or related author news.
Email addresses submitted for Reader Updates are currently collected through the site's form-processing service. If a dedicated newsletter service is used, subscriber information may be transferred to that service solely for sending and managing the newsletter, including unsubscribe requests.
You may ask to be removed from Reader Updates at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in a newsletter email or by contacting Ryan at author@ryanjrussell.com.
Audible review-copy requests
Review-copy requests are reviewed individually. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a promotional code will be provided. Information associated with a request may be retained as reasonably necessary to manage limited promotional codes, avoid duplicate distribution, and correspond with the requester.
A review is never required in exchange for a promotional copy. If a recipient chooses to review the audiobook, the review should reflect the listener's honest opinion.
Website hosting and service providers
RyanJRussell.com is hosted by Netlify. Netlify processes website requests and form submissions on behalf of the site. Like most hosting providers, Netlify may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, request logs, and security-related data as part of providing and protecting its services.
Other service providers may be used for email delivery, newsletter management, or related site functions. They receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform those services.
Cookies, advertising, and tracking
RyanJRussell.com does not currently use advertising trackers or sell visitor data for targeted advertising. Third-party destinations linked from the site—such as Amazon, Audible, Goodreads, or other services—operate under their own privacy policies once you leave RyanJRussell.com.
How long information is kept
Information is kept only as long as it is reasonably useful for the purpose for which it was submitted, for recordkeeping, or to manage requests and communications. You may ask for information you submitted directly through this site to be corrected or deleted, subject to reasonable operational or legal recordkeeping needs.
